Swami Japananda, Chairman of Sri Ramakrishna Sevashrama, Pavagada, Karnataka, visited Kerala with a team constituted of members from INFOSYS FOUNDATION & INDIAN REDCROSS SOCIETY with a truck load of relief materials to be distributed in flood hit areas of Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Idukki Districts. The relief work started by distributing materials among the aflicted people of Mallappilly with the co-operation, assistance and guidence of Swami Nirvinnanandaji, the President of the Ramakrishna Ashrama, Thiruvalla.

The second phase was executed with the co-operation of Ramakrishna Ashram Vallikkode, Pathanamthitta, a sub-centre of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Thrissur, at it's campus in a simple function organised by it's President, Sri Pl Sherief Muhammed and Sri Ramdev ji. Almost 1000people were benefitted by both these drives. More materials are awating distribution.
